Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh), October 31, 2023 : Nakul Nath, the Congress Member of Parliament from Chhindwara and son of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, has created a stir by extending invitations to the swearing-in ceremony of his father, scheduled for December 7, ahead of the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls.

Addressing a gathering of outsourced employees in the district, Nakul Nath took the opportunity to express his commitment to fulfilling the promises outlined by the Congress party. In a video that emerged on social media, he assured the employees that all their demands specified in the Congress party’s manifesto would be met, guaranteeing the provision of permanent government jobs and rectifying the injustices faced by outsourced employees over the last 18 years in the state.

As the assembly polls draw near, Nakul Nath urged the gathering to extend their support to the Congress party. He implored them to participate in his father Kamal Nath’s swearing-in ceremony on December 7, emphasizing the significance of their collective contribution to the party’s efforts.

The BJP’s spokesperson, Ashish Agarwal, in response to Nakul Nath’s announcement, suggested that Nakul aspired to take a prominent role within the Congress party, indicating a sense of urgency and assertiveness in his actions. Agarwal further highlighted concerns regarding the handling of seven assembly seats within the Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency.

Contrarily, Congress spokesperson Bhupendra Gupta supported Nakul Nath’s remarks, acknowledging Nakul’s intuitive understanding of the public sentiment. Gupta emphasized that Nakul’s statements were indicative of the imminent result announcement on December 3 and Kamal Nath’s anticipated swearing-in on December 7.

The state is among the five states preparing for elections this year, with Madhya Pradesh scheduled for polling in a single phase on November 17. The subsequent vote count will transpire on December 3, allowing voters to elect representatives from 230 Assembly constituencies.

This declaration by Nakul Nath, inviting support for his father’s oath-taking ceremony, stands as a strategic move to rally backing for the Congress party in the upcoming elections and demonstrates their anticipation of a favorable outcome.
